Maria Campos

Associate Attorney

Ms. Campos Tello is an Associate Attorney at Fontes Law Group, where she practices primarily in Immigration Law.

Ms. Campos Tello was born and raised in Anaheim, California. She is a first-generation college graduate and the first attorney in her family. Her parents are from Mexico, an experience that shaped her interest in immigration law and advocacy.

She graduated from Anaheim High School before relocating to Mesa, Arizona, to attend Benedictine University at Mesa on an academic and athletic scholarship, where she played collegiate soccer. Ms. Campos Tello earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Spanish, with a minor in Business Administration. She graduated Cum Laude in 2020 after completing a semester abroad in Madrid, Spain, at Universidad de Nebrija.

Following her undergraduate studies, Ms. Campos Tello worked as a legal assistant at an immigration law firm for two years while preparing for law school. She began her legal education at Western State College of Law in Fall 2022. During her first year, she joined Fontes Law Group as a law clerk and later interned with a Juvenile Dependency Law Firm, where she focused on drafting appellate briefs.

While at Western State College of Law, Ms. Campos Tello held multiple leadership roles, including President of the Latinx Law Student Association, Outreach Chair of LLSA, and Chair of the Student Bar Association Public Service Committee. She was also invited to join the Honors Moot Court Team. Her academic achievements include receiving CALI Awards in Legal Research & Writing, Community Property, and Criminal Procedure.

Ms. Campos Tello was awarded the Orange County Hispanic Bar Association Wally Davis Scholarship in March 2023 and the OCHBA Bar Stipend in May 2025. She also served as a student liaison for the Orange County Women Lawyers Association and volunteered at OCHBA community events.

She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Western State College of Law in May 2025 and received the William D. Shapiro Advocacy Award. Ms. Campos Tello passed the California Bar Examination in November 2025 and is currently an Associate Attorney with Fontes Law Group’s Immigration Law Department.
